This week, we're joined by Marc Rotenberg, president and founder of the Center for AI and Digital Policy, to discuss important influences and issues regarding national privacy legislation. Drawing on Marc’s decades of privacy policy and litigation experience, we discuss cross-border data flows and government surveillance, FTC enforcement, the likelihood of another Privacy Shield, actions in the EU that could influence Congress, and consumer protection. In addition to his role at the Center for AI and Digital Policy, Marc has served on many international advisory panels for digital policy, including the OECD AI Group of Experts. He previously founded the Electronic Privacy & Information Center and is the author of the The AI Policy Sourcebook (2016) and The Privacy Law Sourcebook (2020). Marc testifies frequently before Congress and is an advisor to numerous international organizations and governments.
