ADCG on Privacy & Cybersecurity

National Privacy Legislation Viewed through a Wider Lens (with Carlos Solari)

Episode Summary

This week, Jerry and Jody are joined by Carlos Solari, a thought leader in data protection for decades, including a stint as CIO at the White House. With Carlos, we'll take a "look around the corner" at the ways data analytics are evolving and the implications for individuals to control the way data will define them in the age of advanced AI and the Internet of Things. We ask whether the concept of Personally Identifiable Information as we know it will survive and discuss the role that Data Protection Authorities created by law can play in setting rules for use of personal data, however acquired. We consider what role technology might play in enhancing individual privacy rights and explore the prospect of a Data Bill of Rights taking more of a role in the privacy and data protection debates.

Episode Notes

Carlos Solari is Vice President of Product Engineering at Secure G and serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of ADCG.
